Royal Caribbean is preparing to make history in the Southern Hemisphere with the announcement of its most extensive Australian summer season to date. Running from October 2027 through April 2028, the cruise line will deploy three major vessels to serve the region, offering a diverse array of itineraries ranging from quick weekend escapes to immersive 17-night transpacific voyages.

Queensland’s Dual-Ship Deployment

For the first time, Brisbane will serve as the homeport for two significant ships: the newly amplified Ovation of the Seas and the versatile Voyager of the Seas. The return of Ovation of the Seas is a highlight for the 2027-2028 season, as the ship will undergo an extensive refurbishment to enhance the guest experience. Travelers can look forward to a revamped pool deck featuring private Casitas and the Splashaway Bay water park, making it an ideal choice for family vacations.

Culinary enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy on the updated Ovation. New dining venues will include the popular Izumi Teppanyaki and Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen. Sydney will welcome back the Anthem of the Seas, which will offer a variety of cruises lasting between three and 17 nights. This vessel is set to be the centerpiece of Royal Caribbean’s operations in New South Wales, providing numerous opportunities to explore the rugged beauty of New Zealand’s fjords and the pristine beaches of the South Pacific. Special festive sailings for Christmas and New Year in 2027 and 2028 are expected to be among the most sought-after bookings.

The 2027-2028 program extends beyond the Australian coast. Voyager of the Seas will transition to Asia in early 2028, operating out of Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. These itineraries are perfectly timed for the cherry blossom season in Japan, with stops scheduled in Osaka, Nagasaki, and near the iconic Mount Fuji. Meanwhile, Navigator of the Seas will maintain a year-round presence in Singapore, offering shorter getaways to Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam through late 2027.
