The Essence of Africa 2025 conference will be held from October 7-9 at the Diamonds Malindi Hotel on the coast of Kenya. Its program will be strategically thought out and complement the format of meetings that involve high productivity. The Forum, which focuses on sustainability, adventure, conservation and integrity, is ready to build on the success of its first event in Nairobi last year. At the center of this year's agenda is South African researcher Rian Manser, whose keynote address, "Between Words and Actions the Ocean," will encourage delegates to rethink the meaning of authentic African experiences, highlighting practical courage and action in shaping the future of tourism on the continent. Among the highlights are: Marine conservation and coastal tourism: Justin Beswick from Bahari Hai (Watamu) presents the report "Living Oceans, thriving tourism", describing a model of conservation of sea turtles based on the participation of the local community and contributing to the conservation of biodiversity and increasing the sustainability of coastal tourism. (Supported by ResRequest) Impact and Integrity in Tourism: Dr. Ann-Catherine Zschigner and Joy Mbatau from the Long-Term Perspective Project will host an interactive session on the implementation of the 4C concept "Conservation, Community, Culture, Commerce" to build trust and implement best practices. (Supported by Tourplan) Market Buzz session: an operational review of analytics from organizers and buyers, highlighting trends in travel demand in Africa and the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Europe and America. This data gives the exhibitors the opportunity to directly find out what is the priority for buyers around the world when choosing African travel products. Essence of Africa 2025 is a B2B forum focused on business meetings. In addition, the event will organize up to 38 pre-scheduled individual meetings between leading African suppliers and pre-selected international purchasers. In addition, seminars on destinations, cultural evenings and study tours after the event will be organized, aimed at strengthening business ties and demonstrating the broader attractiveness of Kenya's coastal regions. Following the success of the 2024 event in Nairobi, which attracted more than 360 delegates from 37 countries and hosted more than 4,200 meetings between 130 buyers and 125 exhibitors, the 2025 exhibition aims to strengthen meaningful ties and stimulate year-round business for African destinations and operators. "We are looking forward to the performances of Ryan and all our speakers, who will address the topics of adventure and responsibility in traveling in Africa. It's about practical ideas that we can apply to our business and inspiration that will help us further grow the industry," said Amanda Margison, co—founder of Essence of Africa.
